UG Teaching Programme (3rd to 9th Semester)

Additional Under Graduate Teaching

  • Small Group Learning Teaching Methods for difficult topics in Medicine for MBBS students for 8th Semester Batch.
  • Doubt clearing session every Saturday at 10 a.m. in the department.
Post Graduate

Post-Graduate Residents undergo a rigorous training in the subject of medicine. They are encouraged to learn by self-enquiry and take immediate independent bedside decisions and monitor treatment. The decisions are reviewed daily by a student-faculty meet. Unit teaching activity includes daily ward rounds, emergency duties,the performance of bed-side procedures. They maintain a log book of their records.

Additional Post Graduate Teaching

  • They also attend & participate in proceedings of Pune Chapter of Neurology, Cardiology & Gastroenterology Societies
  • PGs Attend & participate in the proceedings of National, state & Pune chapter of API meetings & CMEs
  • Participation in Neurology Continuum CME Programme organized by World Federation of Neurology, Pune Branch

Residents are posted in specialities & various allied departments as per the following schedule

Medical ICU/CCU : 3 months
Nephrology : 1 month
Antiretroviral therapy(ART)OPD : 15 days
Radiology : 15 days
PG students are rotated in one additional unit for 6 months besides the unit of his PG guide

Participation in Integrated Teaching

Integrated teaching is regularly conducted along with other departments on topics of common interred
