Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre Pimpri, Pune-18 was established in year 1996. This College is the first one in the state of Maharashtra to have 250 seats for the MBBS Course; it also provides all paramedical courses
The Campus of the Medical College and Hospital has excellent infrastructure .The college has five well laid-out air conditioned lecture halls. Each hall has the latest audio-visual teaching aids, including e-learning facilities.
The Medical College has an auditorium with seating capacity of 250.
The college has an excellent world class Central Library facility which includes not only books but most of the National and International journals .
A well-furnished boys and girls hostel is available in the campus.
College has strong Mentorship Programme offline as well as online.
Presently there are 457 PG and 27 super speciality students. All the courses conducted at this college have been recognized by National Medical Commission.
Besides regular teaching learning process the college gives due importance to research. Several research proposals of post-graduate students and of the faculty members are approved and funded by National funding agencies such as Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), DST as well as Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune. The involvement of the undergraduate in research activities is note worthy. We have a separate Research wing to promote research and publications amongst faculty and students.
A team of dedicated and highly qualified faculty in all specialities with vast teaching experience is involved in innovative teaching and research programmes and are also invited as guest speakers at many well known institutions in the country.
