The Theme of the Conference is “The Journey of Anatomy from Dissection Hall to Operation Theatre”. This is very relevant theme at this time of implementation of Competency Based Medical Education curriculum which gives vital importance to early clinical exposure and integration of the subjects of all phases of MBBS course.
SOCA was started thirteen years back at Salem, Tamil Nadu, India for the welfare of MD/MS qualified Anatomists of India. Now, our Society has got more than 2200 members.
The Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune is doing excellent contribution to the growth of medical field and research. Our Society of Clinical Anatomists is grateful to the Management and Administration for facilitating to hold this International Conference of SOCA – 2024.

The theme of the conference - “Journey of Anatomy from dissection hall to operation theatre”, appropriately reflects the aim of the society to upload the importance of anatomists in clinical practice. Dissection, an integral part of Anatomy not only helps the future doctors to visualize the human body architecture but also provides the feel of human tissues. This experience, is unmatchable with any technology and it plays pivotal role for successful career.
Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, hospital and research centre, Pimpri, Pune with magnificent infrastructure is providing excellent platform for students and faculties to widen the horizons of their knowledge and work experience in the field of Anatomy by exchanging the research ideas and academic innovations.
