• Surgical treatment for Cataract, Glaucoma, Squint, Retina, Vitreous, lid diseases, Cornea, Squint and Trauma cases.

In-patient services

• Total No. of Beds – 80.
• Admitted patients get IPD file made. Beds are allotted by sister in charge of the ward. Case sheet is written by senior residents and treatment initiated under the guidance of faculty.
• Daily ward rounds are taken in the morning by faculty & Head of the Unit (HOU) and evening rounds by faculty & residents.
• Grand round is taken every Wednesday by Head of Department.
• Cataract surgery - Latest cataract operation with advanced phacoemulsification system with foldable intra-ocular Lens implantation.
• All Retina and Vitreous surgeries, Intravitreal injections and Laser treatment are done with latest technology.
• Pediatric cataract surgeries are done with latest technique.
• Eye Banking and corneal transplant services are available.
• Surgical procedures for diseases of lid, Conjunctiva, Lacrimal sac, Orbit, Glaucoma and Cornea are done regularly with advanced techniques.
• Newborns are screened for Retinopathy of Prematurity and treated with Laser & surgery.
• All types of lasers are available for the treatment of eye diseases.

Outreach activities

• Eye camps are conducted at peripheral areas of Pune, thereby reaching to the poorest blind population.
• Our eye team visits RHTC Alandi and Bhosari frequently.
• These camps are conducted as a part of multi-diagnostic camps.
• School children eye health camps are also held.
• In addition to cataract, camps are also conducted for screening of Glaucoma, Squint & Peadiatric eye diseases.
• Camps are conducted for Diabetic retinopathy awareness & screening.
• Screening & Counselling for computer related vision problem is done regularly.

Awareness about Eye Donation camps are also conducted.
