- The Department of Community Medicine has been actively providing statistical consultancy services to postgraduate (PG) students, faculty, and researchers from DPU as well as other colleges. The trend over the past six years highlights a consistent demand, with noticeable variations:
- In 2020, there were 476 consultations, which dropped to 258 in 2021, possibly due to the COVID-19 pandemic impact on academic activities.
- A sharp rise was seen in 2022 (530 cases), reflecting recovery and renewed research activity.
- In 2023, consultations slightly declined to 398, but again increased to 460 in 2024.
- Notably, in 2025 (till August 25 alone), the department has already provided 581 consultations, surpassing all previous years. This indicates a growing recognition of the department’s role in supporting research and academic work.
